A German citizen was arrested this Monday by the Civil Guard, accused of committing a robbery in a restaurant in Puerto del Carmen. The events happened early Monday morning, when a patrol of the Benemérita was carrying out a routine citizen security service through the streets of the tourist town of Tías. At that moment, the agents observed how a man was walking carrying a garbage bag on his shoulder, a circumstance that raised suspicions in the agents.
When the civil guards checked the contents of the bag, they discovered that the individual was carrying several bottles of alcoholic beverages and food products in it. Subsequently, the agents verified that a nearby restaurant (about 50 meters away) and located on Timanfaya street, had been the object of a robbery by forcing the entrance doors, and that the suspect's effects belonged to said establishment.
The detainee was identified as J.D.H., a German citizen, 40 years old, who was immediately placed at the disposal of the court.
