Officers of the Local Police of Tías arrested Hichan B.G., a native of Madrid and resident of Playa Honda, last Wednesday for his involvement in a continuous theft committed in Puerto del Carmen.
According to a note from the Local Police, the agents were required in a supermarket in the tourist town where they stated that they had been victims of a theft of numerous cartons of tobacco, providing the description and license plate of the vehicle in which the author had fled, who was located by the agents minutes later, also recovering the stolen merchandise, 20 cartons of tobacco.
The writing adds that the circumstance is that said individual was recognized by the employees of another supermarket in which he had also tried to steal numerous cartons of tobacco during that same afternoon, a fact that was prevented by the employees themselves, with whom he had a small struggle, thus managing to leave the premises without the merchandise he was trying to steal.
For this reason, and when the victims' complaints were formalized, the local officers arrested the individual for the instruction of the appropriate procedures and his subsequent placement at the disposal of the courts.
