The alleged perpetrator of a robbery in Puerto del Carmen has had to be arrested twice for the same events and in the same week. The first time, last Tuesday, shortly after the events occurred, although he managed to escape from the Local Police while they were taking him "handcuffed" to a health center. The second time, two days later, when he himself went to the Civil Guard to file a complaint for the theft of his car, which had been seized and was in the municipal depot.
According to the Local Police of Tías, everything began on Tuesday night, when they received a notice that a robbery had occurred and the perpetrators had fled in a blue car. Their agents went to the area with a device that allowed them to locate the car, a BMW, in which they found a large number of tools, various electronic devices, a bicycle and alcoholic beverages.
The two occupants of the vehicle, both natives of Morocco, were arrested. However, one of them managed to escape. According to the Local Police, they were transferring him to a medical center, for reasons they do not specify, when, "despite being handcuffed in one of his hands, he managed to break free from the agents and begin a flight that could not be reached."
The agents reported the events to the Civil Guard of Tías, who did not even need to leave their premises to carry out the arrest. And it is that the fugitive himself appeared at the barracks to file a complaint for the theft of his car, which was already in the municipal depot, and was immediately arrested.
