The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Costa Teguise, arrested on July 23 a young man of 20 years, of initials C.M.R., Spanish nationality and without police record, as alleged perpetrator of offenses of theft, against road safety, another of theft and use of vehicles and finally damage.
It was as a result of the discovery on the night of July 16 a burnt vehicle on the LZ-10 road, at kilometer 19,200 towards Arrecife, where agents did not find anyone at the scene at that time but were able to contact the owner of the vehicle, who told them that moments before someone had taken his vehicle in the vicinity of the teleclub of Órzola.
The agents of the Investigation Area were able to gather sufficient police evidence, supported in part by statements from witnesses, to identify the alleged perpetrator of the events, who on the night of the 16th in the place described, allegedly stole the car taking advantage of the fact that the owner had left it open with the keys in it.
He then drove, without a driving license, several kilometers along the LZ-10 road until he left the road, abandoning the vehicle without first setting it on fire and taking 300 euros that were inside.
Finally he was located and arrested on the 23rd, remaining at the disposal of the corresponding Court, in functions of guard, of Arrecife.
