Another boat with 26 Maghreb migrants on board has been rescued this Sunday while sailing in waters near Lanzarote, as reported by the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
The boat was intercepted after the Maritime Rescue Control Center in Las Palmas received a notice from an Asturian fishing vessel, reporting that it was spotting a boat east of Lanzarote. The Salvamar Al Nair was dispatched to the scene, which proceeded to rescue its 26 occupants, including two women and six minors.
The immigrants have been transferred to the commercial dock of Arrecife where they have been attended by the Red Cross. All were without symptoms compatible with Covid and in good condition in general. According to their statements, they left Agadir and had been on board for four days.
