A Toyota Land Cruiser SUV overturned due to rain around 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday, December 30, on the San Bartolomé road towards the capital. The driver was traveling with his minor daughter, but both escaped unharmed from the accident, according to information provided by the Red Cross, which stated that the damage was exclusively material.

The vehicle that left the road has been removed by a private crane, so the Firefighters did not have to act in the area. And the first hypotheses suggest that the causes of the accident could have been the loss of grip of the SUV caused by the constant rains recorded during the morning on the island.
Although initially one of the lanes towards Arrecife was closed to traffic, both lanes are currently open to traffic.
The Cabildo's Emergency Consortium recommends moderating driving speed throughout the island and taking extreme precautions to avoid accidents.
