A patera-type boat appeared this Thursday on the coast of Famara, in the Los Noruegos area. The Local Police of Teguise were alerted minutes before 8:00 in the morning and went to the area. However, upon arrival, the boat was empty. Local agents are working in coordination with the Integrated External Surveillance System (SIVE) of the Civil Guard.

As confirmed by the Armed Institute, after 10:30 this morning the agents had not located anyone in the area who could have arrived on that boat. Municipal police and civil guards continue to comb the area to try to find the occupants of the boat, which, according to the councilor of Teguise Miguel Ángel Jiménez, is believed to have reached the coast around 5:00 in the morning.

The Civil Guard has explained that the "technical characteristics" of the boat, which is 6 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, and the "indications" found in the area "indicate its use for irregular immigration." However, the Benemérita has decided to transfer a specialized dog to the site to track the area, in order to "rule out its use for drug trafficking." In this boat, which had two outboard motors, only a gasoline can was found. The search device to find its occupants remains active.
