A woman of 69 years old has been injured after colliding head-on with her bicycle with another person who was also on a bicycle.
The events took place this Thursday, December 26, on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen. At approximately 7:43 p.m., the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting a head-on collision between two bicycles and their riders were injured.
The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The SUC personnel assessed and assisted the affected individuals, transferring the injured woman with a minor head trauma to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in a basic life support ambulance. The second affected person refused the transfer.
The Local Police have initiated the corresponding procedures.
