A woman has been injured in the collision of a car with a van on Avenida Gran Aldea in Teguise, as reported by the Emergency Consortium. The accident occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. when CECOES received the alert about the collision.
Local Police officers, firefighters, and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service were dispatched to the scene.
Once on site, the firefighters verified that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside, so they had to perform extrication maneuvers to free her. She was subsequently assisted by paramedics and transported by ambulance to Molina Orosa Hospital.
The driver of the van had exited the vehicle on his own and appeared to be in good health. Once the vehicles were removed, the firefighters cleaned the road, leaving it operational for traffic.
