A 39-year-old woman was slightly injured this Monday in an accident involving three vehicles. The incident occurred on the LZ-2, between Arrecife and Playa Honda, near the entrance to El Cable. Paramedics have traveled there and attended to this woman, the only one who needed medical assistance, to later transfer her to the hospital.
The Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies was alerted at 8:04 a.m. of the collision of three vehicles on this road and sent a basic life support ambulance to the area. Once at the scene, the medical personnel gave this woman first aid and, after diagnosing her with mild whiplash, transferred her to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
Traffic agents from the Civil Guard also attended the incident, who were in charge of carrying out the report. The accident has caused significant delays. The cars traveling on that road remained stopped for more than 10 minutes. According to some drivers who spoke to La Voz de Lanzarote, the traffic was still somewhat congested an hour after the accident.
