A boat with 43 people on board, one of them a woman who gave birth in the middle of the voyage, according to the occupants, was located this Wednesday 15 miles west of Lanzarote, as reported by sources from Maritime Rescue and 112 Canarias.
The emergency notice was made by a Non-Governmental Organization --which warned that the boat had been lost since last Sunday-- and the Salvamar Altair vessel and the Helimer 204 are already in the area, in order to coordinate the rescue and assess whether it is necessary to carry out an air evacuation.
