THE ROPES AND THE BOLLARD THAT PREVENTED THE VEHICLE FROM FALLING
A vehicle was about to fall into the sea this Thursday night, again in Puerto Naos, Arrecife, after its driver and sole occupant lost control of the steering wheel while performing donuts on the esplanade where [two young people died in similar circumstances last December 17->https://www.lavozdelanzarote.com/article.php3?id_article=4236&var_recherche=accidente%2C+puerto+naos].
According to data provided by the Arrecife Local Police and the Spanish Red Cross NGO in Lanzarote, the car, a black Bmw with license plate 0704CPK, collided almost head-on, at around 00:05 am, against a bollard on the Naos dock, but it was several ropes tied to two nearby boats that prevented the vehicle from falling into the water, which had half of its structure, the rear part, hanging in the air.

The only victim, a young man from Lanzarote, suffered a neck sprain and had to be transferred by the Red Cross to the General Hospital. The National Police also appeared at the scene, while a crane from the Island Fire Department was in charge of recovering the car and making it available to its owner.
