A pregnant woman, 23 years old, has been run over near the bus exchange of Arrecife, in the vicinity of the Cabildo.
The incident took place in the pedestrian crossing located in the area. Apparently, the driver was distracted and ran over the young woman, who was just a few centimeters away from reaching the sidewalk.
Local Police officers, as well as several SUC ambulances, have arrived at the scene and assisted the affected woman, who had a less serious tibia fracture. The young woman has been transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Local Police has performed a breathalyzer test on the driver of the car, which was negative, with a result of 0.0.
