Several vehicles have suffered a multiple accident in Yaiza. The events occurred at 6:42 a.m. this Saturday on the new road that connects Playa Blanca with Yaiza.
According to La Voz, a young woman fell asleep at the wheel and her vehicle left the road. Upon seeing the accident, two cars stopped on the road to help the victim, when they were hit by a fourth car. For the moment, the Emergency personnel continues to intervene in the area due to this spectacular accident that has no fatalities.
It is a traffic accident with people trapped, after one of the passengers who stopped to assist the young woman was imprisoned inside the car after the collision. This multiple accident has forced to divert the rest of the vehicles through the old section.
According to CECOES, six injured people of various considerations have been treated, a 23-year-old woman with various traumas of moderate character, as well as a 41-year-old man with costal and thoracic pain of moderate character. Both were transferred to the Doctor Molina Orosa hospital.
While a 33-year-old man who presented a trauma to the face and mild erosions, another 49-year-old man who suffered a mild cervicalgia, a 54-year-old man who presented a mild cevicalgia have been diverted to Hospiten.
Finally, a man has been assisted at the scene of the incident who has refused transfer to a hospital center.
The Security and Emergency Consortium (CECOES) received a warning early in the morning and moved the firefighters to the place. Together with them, the National Police, the Civil Guard and several ambulances have also intervened.
