A 64-year-old man has had to be evacuated from La Graciosa to Lanzarote after feeling unwell after a scuba diving immersion on the eighth island.
At 11:45 a.m., 112 activated Emerlan, who helped the man and transferred him to the La Graciosa health center. However, half an hour later, the NGO's personnel were notified to transfer the affected man to Lanzarote since, according to reports, he had "signs of decompression".
According to Emerlan, they were alerted to assist the man for a possible diving accident. However, from the La Graciosa Divers center, with which the affected man made the dive, they have insisted that it was after the dive when the man began to "feel unwell" and "dizzy".

"Simply, as a precaution, oxygen has been given and the protocol has been set up because it is something that cannot be known if it is really from diving or not", they have pointed out, also stating that after what happened the affected man acknowledged that "he had not been feeling very well since yesterday".
The diver was evacuated on the 12:30 boat to Órzola, where the SUC's medicalized ambulance was waiting to transfer him to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
