A 25-year-old young woman of foreign origin remains admitted to the José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife after having been shot, allegedly by her partner, a resident of Tinajo.
The 45-year-old man shot the woman in the stomach with a shotgun that he later used against himself, injuring his face. The event took place in a house located at the entrances to the Los Dolores parking lot, in Mancha Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo.
The Local Police received the notice around 11:35 p.m. The agents assure that the woman's condition was very serious, although it has not yet been possible to confirm the diagnosis. In addition to the municipal agents, the Civil Guard, Emerlan and personnel from the Canary Islands Health Service went to the scene. The Benemérita is currently investigating this alleged case of gender violence. The aggressor may have a history of mistreatment.
