An agent of the Local Police of Arrecife suffered an aggression that forced the mobilization of two pairs of police, as reported by this security body. The events occurred on January 9 in the middle of Triana street, when the agent received "a strong punch in the face, which knocked him to the ground, by an individual who fled the scene."
After the alarm of several neighbors, a couple of Local Police officers who were near the scene, were able to arrest the alleged aggressor when he was running towards the gas station located on García Escámez street. The detainee, who responds to the initials R.A.C.M, is of Argentine nationality and currently resides on Gómez Ulla street in the capital.
The agents had to request the support of another couple of police officers to be able to reduce the detainee who, according to the agents, "showed a strong active resistance". The alleged aggressor was transferred to police headquarters, as he was identified by a witness.
With respect to the assaulted agent, he had to be transferred to the Valterra health center in order to be recognized by the medical services.
