The kitchen of a hotel, located in Playa Blanca, has suffered a fire in the early hours of this Friday. The fire occurred in an oven and the cook who was working at that time had to be treated by the paramedics of the Red Cross for smoke inhalation. However, it has not been necessary to transfer him to any hospital, as reported by Civil Protection of Yaiza through a statement.
The event was unleashed at 5.26 am in the Paradise Island hotel, in Playa Blanca. The rapid action of the Local Police and the Civil Guard, who were in the area, managed to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher.
The Fire and Rescue Unit (U.C.I.R), which belongs to the Civil Protection Group of the Yaiza City Council, also came to the scene. This team has finished extinguishing the fire and has proceeded to ventilate the kitchen and the dining room.
