Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire in a house on El Cribo street in Arrecife early this Monday morning, in which they found a dead dog. In addition, they had to evacuate two people and several dogs from the neighboring house.
After being alerted by the Cecoes around 3 a.m., the firefighters went to the scene of the fire, verifying that it was located on the first floor, above the ground floor of the building. The firefighters proceeded to evacuate two people and several dogs from the neighboring house.
To access the affected house, the firefighters forced the entrance door and, once inside, located the fire in a room, proceeding to extinguish it, although the gases from the fire affected the entire house. From the last room at the end of the hall, the firefighters took out a dog that was dead, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Once the fire was extinguished, the firefighters ventilated the houses, including the neighboring one, which also had smoke.
