Two people have been slightly injured in the collision between two cars this Thursday afternoon on the LZ-2. The accident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. near El Cable and has caused significant traffic jams. The two injured, a 70-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man who were traveling in separate cars, have both suffered minor multiple contusions. After being treated at the scene by the medical personnel of the SUC, they have been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife.
The collision has caused traffic jams, both on that road, the LZ-2, and on the Arrecife Ring Road. According to some drivers, the vehicles were still held up an hour after the incident. The traffic jam stretched from El Cable to the height of Maneje, already on the Ring Road.
The Arrecife Local Police have gone to the area to regulate traffic, while waiting for the crane to arrive. According to what they have explained, the vehicles have been obstructing the road after the collision and this is what has congested traffic. Traffic agents from the Civil Guard have also traveled there.
