Rollover in El Mentidero
The car of Alberto Santana and Guillermo García overturned in the last seconds of the last section of the rally between Tías and San Bartolomé, specifically in the area of El Mentidero. The injured were attended by the volunteers of Civil Protection of Tías and the Red Cross.
The driver was transferred in the basic ambulance of Civil Protection with lumbar pain to the Molina Orosa, while the co-driver was transferred in the medicalized ambulance of the Red Cross.
A relative of the co-driver wanted to thank the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, since "he has been the only one who has worried about the family" and "has paid for the ticket and the stay in Gran Canaria to the mother" of Guillermo García. In addition, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, also took an interest in the injured and put all the means at the disposal of the relatives. Finally, he wanted to express his discomfort with the Federation "since they did not show interest and told us that until Tuesday they could not give information"
