Firefighters rescued a kitten that was trapped inside a disused treatment plant in La Garita in Arrieta.
The incident took place at around 5:30 p.m. this Monday, June 12, when they were alerted by the Local Police.
Once at the scene, the firefighters verified that the cat was trapped inside the container of approximately three meters high and could not get out. The emergency personnel entered the treatment plant with the help of the extension ladder and trapped the cat with the net, to later introduce it into a cage that a neighbor in the area gave to whom the animal was handed over.
For their part, the agents of the Local Police will make a report so that the personnel of the City Council securely cover the mouths of the treatment plants.
Finally, the firefighters closed the mouths of the treatment plant and locked the gate that gives access to the treatment plant.
