Thirteen immigrants have reached Lanzarote soil on Thursday night, joining the twelve who were detected off the coast of La Mareta in the early hours of the previous day.

25 Moroccan immigrants have arrived on the coasts of Lanzarote in one day. After a boat with twelve people on board arrived in the early hours of Thursday, another boat arrived at about half past ten at night to the Ancones area, in Costa Teguise. On board were thirteen people, of Maghreb nationality, including three minors, between 15 and 17 years old, and two women.

The boat, six meters long and 50 meters wide, was detected by the Civil Guard patrol boat on the coast of Los Ancones. According to the Island Delegate of the Government, Marcial Martín, all have been arrested and procedures have been initiated for their repatriation, although before the immigrants will be transferred to the Internment Center of El Matorral in Fuerteventura.

Marcial Martín also commented that the twelve immigrants who arrived on the island in the early hours of Thursday will be transferred this Friday to Fuerteventura, where they will wait to be repatriated.
