The residents of a building on El Greco street in Arrecife had to be evacuated in the early hours of this Monday when a fire broke out in the building.

In total, 19 people were evicted, of which two women and two children were transferred to a health center, although not because they required medical assistance, but because they had nowhere else to stay, according to confirmed by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The fire took place at approximately 04:40 hours and, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, it affected a mattress and several pieces of wood that were at the entrance of the building, in the stairwell.
In addition to the firefighters, a doctor and a nurse, two basic vital ambulances from the SUC, Local Police and National Police were dispatched to the scene.
