The Tinajo Carnival has announced that it will be celebrated under the theme of The 60s between March 1, 2, and 3 of this year. The event will include events in the Social Hall and in the fairground.
Although in the days before you can already enjoy previous activities both in the Mancha Blanca Market and in the socio-cultural centers, next Friday, March 1, the carnival festivities begin with force with the Carnival Gala in the Social Hall at 8:45 p.m. At 11:00 p.m. comes the traditional Sábana Verbena with DJ Ángel Pérez and the Lanzarote Swing group.
Thus, on Saturday, March 2, it starts with the solidarity race of mascaritas and at 7:30 p.m. the grand carnival parade will take place. Later, a verbena enlivened by Atlantis Swing, Los Conejeros and Nueva Stella.
The sixties Tinajo Carnival 2024 closes its doors on Sunday, March 3, with the Carnival Day. Everything will start at 10:30 a.m. with various children's workshops in a Plaza San Roque that will enjoy the carnival and music throughout the day: Orquesta Los Jarvac, Grupo Treintytantos and D.J. Chipi. In addition, the carnival hat contest will be held.
The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, invites “to enjoy the colorful Tinajo Carnival 2024. We are about to start the Carnival festivities in Tinajo and everyone is invited to enjoy in our municipality some parties that are going to be spectacular”.
For the Councilor for Festivities of the Tinajo City Council, Jonatan Pérez Olivero, it is “there is a desire for Carnival in Tinajo. Proof of this is that the three winning floats in the Arrecife parade are from Tinajo. This year we are going to live in Tinajo the essence of the 60s through this year's carnival. The Carnival will end on Sunday, March 3 and we invite everyone not to cook that day in Tinajo because, apart from the wonderful gastronomic offer that our municipality offers, that day they will be able to enjoy cheap tapas in the ventorrillo of Plaza San Roque. - 8:45 p.m. Carnival Gala: With the participation of the Creciendo Yaiza Social Association, “Los Desiguales” Tinajo Municipal Dance School, Comparsa los Cumbacheros, and Drag Exhibition (Social Hall).
- 11:00 p.m. Traditional Sábana Verbena, enlivened by DJ Angel Pérez and the Lanzarote Swing group.
- From 11:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. the Sábana contest will be held. Prizes: group 500 euros, couple 200 euros and individual 100 euros.
- At 2:30 a.m., the winners of the contest will be announced.

- 10:00 a.m. Mascaritas Solidarity Race 2024

- 7:30 p.m. GRAND CARNIVAL PARADE with a parade of floats from the Plaza de Los Dolores. The comparsas, batucadas, mascaritas.... join in the municipal football field.
Then, verbena enlivened by the groups: Atlantis Swing, Los Conejeros and Nueva Stella.
