The Tías Town Hall announces that the 2026 Puerto del Carmen Carnival will be inspired by "The Roaring Twenties," an era characterized by charm, music, art, and the joy of living. The most anticipated event on the festive calendar will be held from February 19 to 22, and promises to fill the streets of the tourist town with color, rhythm, and fun.

The Councillor for Festivals, Miriam Hernández, explains that the choice of this theme "seeks to pay tribute to a vibrant decade characterized by its free spirit and creativity," and adds that "the Carnival of Puerto del Carmen has always been a benchmark in Lanzarote, and in 2026 we want it to shine brighter than ever, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy some unique days."

Hernández anticipates that "work is already underway on a very complete program, with the participation of murgas, comparsas, batucadas, floats, and local and guest groups." The Carnival Day will be reinstated, and the coso, or traditional parade, which attracts thousands of people every year, will be promoted.

"We want Puerto del Carmen to become an authentic stage from the 1920s, with all its music and desire to party," the councilwoman emphasized. "Carnival is an opportunity to share, laugh, and enjoy ourselves together, and from the Tías Town Hall, we are preparing every detail to make it unforgettable."

The council encourages the entire population to prepare their costumes and join in the festive spirit of this edition, which promises to transport everyone to a golden age full of energy and elegance.
