The Performing Arts Festival of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers puts a brilliant epilogue to a semester of intense activity with AVERNO, an intense physical and emotional journey through dance in which the viewer is immersed in the search for the reconquest of their inner self. The show will take place next Saturday, April 6, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the Jameos del Agua Auditorium.

Marcat Dance choreographer Mario Bermúdez is immersed in a splendid moment of choreographic maturity and takes 'Dante's Inferno' as a starting point to star in a sensory experience that reveals the power of liberation and the nakedness of our entity. Alone, and in the company of Catherine Coury, Marilisa Gallicchio, Javier de la Asunción, Andrea Pérez, David Eusse and Raúl Melcón, he will face the darkest versions of himself, his doubts, his fears and weaknesses until he finds freedom, even in the darkest and most unknown places.

ANERVO is born from the continuous investigation of the dynamics of the body, betting on the power of imagination and creative risks, and seeking inspiration in different cultures, rituals, traditions and landscapes of the world. Since its premiere, this show has not stopped receiving recognition from the public and specialized critics. Thus, it has won the Seville Stage Awards for Best Dance Show, Best Dancer and Best Costume Design, and is a candidate for nominations for the MAX awards for best choreography, best dance dancer and best dance show. In addition, it has obtained five nominations for the 2024 Talía awards: Best Dance Show; Best Choreography, by Mario Bermúdez; Best female dance performer, by Catherine Coury; and Best male dance performer, by Mario Bermúdez and Javier de la Asunción.
