The new session of 'Cine Juventud Lanzarote. Siembra' organized by Tenique Cultural, has chosen the movie 'Alcarràs' for its screening on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Multicines Atlántida in Arrecife. One of the most awarded Spanish films of recent years that won the Golden Bear at the 'Berlinale', had eleven nominations at the Goya Awards, three at the European Film Awards and managed to bring more than 300,000 viewers to the theaters.
After the film, a debate will be opened between the public and those who present, who are usually groups, associations or people whose training can offer an interesting look at the topics covered. In the case of 'Alcarràs', we will have Manuel Peláez, farmer and owner of the Finca Ecológica Tres Peñas, informs Tenique Cultural.
The 'Siembra Project', which Tenique Cultural has been organizing since 2021 in collaboration with the Insular Youth Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, has chosen 'Alcarràs' for being a portrait of the problem in the rural world with the generational change, of how important family unity is in the face of crises and of what belonging to a land means. In addition, it tells how the speculative development of renewable energies is changing the landscape of many towns in Spain.
Admission is free until full capacity and people under 35 years of age will have priority. In the following link you can get the tickets.
