The ‘Mar en Calma’ festival will fill Playa Honda with music, entertainment and fun

The activities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the clown show 'What a Good Day' and will end with the Maria al Revès concert and the intervention of Alberto & García

The San Bartolomé City Council presented this Monday the XV edition of the Mar en Calma festival that will take place next Saturday, July 13, and that will fill the Playa Honda Avenue (between Nasa and Ancla streets) with music, entertainment and fun for all audiences.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has highlighted that the festival “maintains the City Council's commitment to culture and proposes a series of dynamization activities for all the residents of the municipality in a unique space such as Playa Honda Avenue”. In addition, he pointed out that this fifteenth edition “promises to be a special edition, with an offer full of surprises and leisure for the whole family”.

For her part, the Councilor for Culture, Estefanía Luzardo, has invited all citizens to participate in this day “that will fill the streets of the municipality with a great atmosphere, with shows and live music for everyone, in an event that is consolidated in the calendar as one of the most popular summer activities on the island of Lanzarote”.

The presentation of the XV edition of the festival was also attended by the Minister of Culture of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jesús Alexander Machín Tavío, and Yvonne Thiery, from Arenao Producciones, as collaborators of the festival.

The activities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the clown show What a Good Day, with Maite Guevara. From 7:00 p.m., the family rock concert will take place, by Happening, and at 8:00 p.m. the magic show This magic is from a movie will begin, with Mag Maiki. To end the day, there will be two musical performances. At 9:00 p.m., concert by Maria al Revès and at 10:00 p.m. it will be the turn on stage for Alberto & García.
