Arenao, the production company behind the renowned 'Sonidos Líquidos' festival, has joined forces with the Festivales Para Un Territorio brand to launch a new project, 'Canari'. This festival, which will be held on November 17, 18 and 19, will offer a variety of experiences linked to music, the territory, gastronomy and heritage in different spaces in Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

Neftalí Acosta, director of Arenao, has expressed his "enthusiasm" for this new project in Lanzarote, highlighting the "importance of the territory" of the islands as the protagonist of the event. "Canari is born in this edition in Lanzarote, without forgetting La Graciosa. But with the firm objective of touring the archipelago in successive editions," adds Acosta.

The festival was presented this morning at 'Salinas de Janubio' together with Carlos Montilla, director of 'Festivales Para un Territorio' and 'I-radia Crea'. Montilla points out: "We couldn't be more satisfied to be able to add Lanzarote to the map of 'Festivales Para Un Territorio'. 'Canari' is different because of its own identity, it adapts to the environment and avoids overcrowding."

The British band 'The Divine Comedy' headlines this first edition, as well as Maika Makovski, as well as Melenas, 'The Parrots' together with the local bands 'Zürych' and 'Adora', among the first confirmations.

Experiences are an essential part of the program. The brand's flagship activity, the 'Cata Territorios', in which wines from the island and other regions will be presented, will be added to other experiences, such as a visit to the Salinas de Janubio, a landscape of great cultural value, in which the process of extracting sea salt will be explained. The heritage, cultural and sculptural route in both Arrecife and the town of San Bartolomé will also be essential, along with a special visit to La Graciosa to complete the weekend.

Gastronomy, a fundamental pillar of the festival

Gastronomy will be another of the fundamental pillars that give Canari a differential value. Quality dishes, made with zero-kilometer ingredients that highlight the variety and richness of the flavors native to the islands.

'Canari' is the fifth festival to join the 'Festivales Para un Territorio' brand, which already has events in Galicia, Euskadi and Comunitat Valenciana. Season tickets for the festival will be available from this Friday, September 29 on the website at a special price of 30 euros.

Also, as with 'Sonidos Líquidos' and 'Festivales Para Un Territorio', the festival will have a mobility plan to protect the environment and will offer a special transport service to access the concerts and main activities. Tickets for transport can be purchased on the same website soon.
