The residents of the town of Tahíche, complying with the program of events of the festivities in honor of their patrons, Santiago Apóstol and Santa Ana, enjoyed, on the eve of the big day, a night with a Canarian atmosphere. The group of young people belonging to the Añoranza collective, dressed in Canarian clothes, staged a passage from the "Memories of Yesteryear." It was a tribute to the peasant men and women of the town from the daily days to the desired Sunday to attend Mass.
Añoranza accompanied by the "El Jable" parranda, danced two representative pieces of Canarian folklore such as the Isa and the Malagueña. The event was held on the sports court of the Santiago el Mayor Neighborhood Association. The festival committee prepared some tables so that the attending public could place their snacks and be able to savor them during the evening. A night that was very lively with the El Jable parranda where its members gave their best, with a very varied repertoire with songs of Canarian root that were intertwined with some danceable ones remembering those old dances, also called ballroom dances.
The public was very animated wanting to mark some dances but the organization at all times pending compliance with the protocol did not let them get up from their seats.
