Sonidos Líquidos is committed to being one of the best and most sustainable festivals on the music scene. And this year, its efforts have been rewarded by receiving three stars in the A Greener Festival certification. "This means that it becomes not only the first event in the Canary Islands to achieve this, but also one of the few festivals in Spain to proudly display them. In this way, it is established as one of the festivals most committed to the environment in the country," the organization points out.

A Greener Festival, a prestigious British entity that audits dozens of festivals internationally in terms of sustainability, has once again granted this recognition to Sonidos Líquidos after its 2019 edition, and has increased this certification by achieving three stars for its edition last year. "With a significant amount of work behind them and an increasingly noticeable effort, this achievement, just one star away from the maximum score in this audit, represents a great boost and consolidates Sonidos Líquidos in the line undertaken since its inception," the organization highlights.

Likewise, the Iberian Festival Awards, awards that recognize the best Spanish and Portuguese festivals, have released the list of candidates for their awards, in which the festival from Lanzarote appears in three of the categories. This year it repeats its nomination in the Contribution to Sustainability category, an award it won in the 2020 edition, and in the Best Tourist Promotion category, which reappears after the pandemic situation. The third nomination is for Best Festival in Spain and Portugal in Medium Format, the award for which will depend on popular vote.

All these recognitions demonstrate that sustainability continues to be the hallmark of Sonidos Líquidos. Behind the set of concerts, there is a great effort during the months before and after to offer the best measures both in sustainability and with respect for the fragile environment. With the support and professional advice of MJC Ambiental, the festival will continue to work not only on maintaining this certification, but will also present environmental innovations in this next event.

Sonidos Líquidos will celebrate its great event on June 10th within the utopian setting of La Geria, and has already announced the first groups that will make up this important event; DePedro, Arde Bogotá and Dùpre will be some of the artists who will take to the stage at Bodega La Geria and whose lineup will add more artists in the coming dates.

And as it has done in other years, the organization is back in the spring with its events called "experience", small-format concerts, held in different corners of Lanzarote and the archipelago. In these meetings, music and gastronomy go hand in hand to delight the senses of hearing, smell and taste, all well paired with the delicious wines of Lanzarote, and whose calendar will be known shortly.

Arenao Producciones, organizer of Sonidos Líquidos, wants to thank the unconditional support of its loyal followers, "who year after year continue to trust in this very special festival as well as with the institutions involved, highlighting the Cabildo de Lanzarote, which continues to sponsor the event through its Culture and Tourism areas of Lanzarote; the Government of the Canary Islands through Promotur and the Canarian Institute of Cultural Development; the City Council of Yaiza and of course, the invaluable support from its beginnings of the Regulatory Council of Wines of Lanzarote. Without a doubt, this continued commitment year after year is definitive for Sonidos Líquidos to position itself as one of the most sustainable festivals both nationally and internationally".
