The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture hosted this Wednesday the premiere of the official presentation of the new video clip of the song 'Escaleras de Colores', by the musical group Efecto Pasillo, with the participation of the Lanzarote singer Rosana Arbelo. The recording of this video clip, which has been launched to the five continents, through the networks of these artists with thousands of followers, took place last January in different historical places of the capital of Lanzarote. The video clip is part of the initiatives of the Arrecife City Council to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife.
The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, accompanied Rosana and the members of Efecto Pasillo, Iván, Nauzet, Arturo and Javi, this Wednesday in this world launch, which was simultaneously uploaded to the networks of the Canary Islands artists.
In the presentation to the media, in a crowded room, the video clip was projected, with a marine and coastal touch, which featured the participation of prominent characters from the Lanzarote carnival.
During his speech, Mayor Yonathan de León, stressed that "with the presence of Rosana and Efecto Pasillo, from today in our city we remember with emotion this moment, and these carnivals with a very coastal accent."
The saltpeter that Rosana carries in her blood, the mayor pointed out, "appears in this video clip when Rosana sings on the bow of an island fishing boat in the waters of Arrecife."
Yonathan de León has remarked that the sponsorship of the video clip is part of the many events that are taking place in 2024 for the celebration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife. In his speech he made a small summary of the history of the origin of the Port of Arrecife in the establishment of a small coastal nucleus in La Puntilla, next to the Charco de San Ginés, which stars in the main images of the video clip with the song 'Escaleras de Colores', performed by Rosana and Efecto Pasillo.
The mayor has invited "Rosana to be more united, even to this city that saw you born, And as this year, 2024, will also be special for you, we would like you to put in your agenda that next October 24, your birthday, we discover that plaque with your hands sculpted in this promenade of our city”. Rosana, in an emotional way, thanked this gift from her hometown.
"To the friends of Efecto Pasillo, continued the capital's mayor, I wish them that, from now on, their 'Escalera de Colores' will allow them to continue climbing more steps of success around the world. I am sure that this will be the case. And that wherever they go, and act, they take Arrecife as the talisman of good luck. Our coastal people, in the past, wanted to have a good journey. But for all of them the most important thing was to reach a safe harbor. I wish everyone a safe harbor," he concluded.
Rosana excited
“I feel very loved; very, very, very loved at home, things are round trip “said with emotion the favorite daughter of Arrecife during her speech at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture. With tears she had to stop several times her speech before the media, since in the act Yonathan de León announced that on October 24 there is the purpose of discovering that work with the replica of the singer-songwriter's hands.
Iván Torres, representing Efecto Pasillo, has said that "they will try to be in Arrecife on that special day", and that, "from now on with this video Arrecife, Lanzarote, Canarias, will be closer to Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile or Ecuador, where we have many followers to our songs."
Torres, who has recalled that he also comes from a fishing family from Gran Canaria, has emphasized that "one of our dreams was always to collaborate with great Canary Islands artists", detailing this vocalist of Efecto Pasillo his origins as a musical group back in 2007. He concluded by thanking Rosana for this musical collaboration, and the support of the Arrecife City Council in the realization of this video clip. "I wished everyone, following the wishes of the mayor to all attendees, a safe harbor."
The event was attended, among others, by the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, and the Councilor for Tourism, Commerce and Sports, Eli Merino, whose Council, through Turismo Arrecife, has sponsored the recording of 'Escalera de Colores', the new video clip of Efecto Pasillo with the collaboration of Rosana.
