The Gran Canaria artist El Vega offered a show at noon this past Saturday in Playa Blanca. The concert took place in Plaza del Carmen, where young and old could enjoy a performance full of rhythm, joy and good energy. This event was part of the program of activities of August Joven 2023, organized by the Yaiza City Council through the Department of Youth led by Daniel Medina.
"Lyrics to think about and music to enjoy, is the interpretive virtue of the singer-songwriter who, together with his band of five talents, did not take a minute to conquer the public," described the City Council of Arrecife. The attendees sang at the top of their lungs with El Vega, joined his choreography and accepted the invitation to join that great symbolic and collective embrace of a concert turned into a show of gratitude to life.
El Vega thanked Playa Blanca for its enormous complicity, even the little ones danced and went on stage to have fun with his music, and he also thanked Lanzarote for being a constant source of inspiration, and that is that part of his creations have their origin in the scenic beauty of the Island of Volcanoes.
"El Vega left delighted and the public full of happiness," the City Council reported. The weather also acted as an accomplice because the concert took place with cloudy skies, which is appreciated in these days of intense heat.
Precisely the alerts for high temperatures forced the City Council to reprogram several of the activities of August Joven, including the Esport day that finally took place last Friday at the La Aurora center in Playa Blanca.
As usual, there were first informative talks and then the video game tournaments were held. Maireeg, content creator of Las Palmas Unity, gave a talk on how to make streams, while Erikun, CEO of the ColossusTnf team, did the same addressing the creation of Esports teams in the Canary Islands.
The players competed in a FIFA 23 and Tekken 7 tournament, with 100 euros in prizes each and the titles of best players in the municipality, which went to Pedro Gil and Rayco Fontes, respectively. Councilors Daniel Medina and Ángel Lago presented the awards. The August Joven program still has a wooden games activity left, it will be next Friday, August 25 at eleven in the morning on Limones street in Playa Blanca.
