The Tenique Cultural association, together with the Lanzarote Council and the seven town councils of the island, are launching the third edition of Summer Traveling Cinema with different outdoor screenings throughout Lanzarote. This family cinema will take place during the months of July and August with double sessions on Thursdays and Fridays or Fridays and Saturdays, and free access. Each screening will show a different film and all will start at 9:00 p.m.

After the success of the event in previous years, this edition will once again distribute popcorn among the attendees and will give an introductory talk before the start of the film. The Councilor for Culture of the Island Council, Jesús Machín, encourages citizens to enjoy this proposal "that once again brings together the seven town councils, in the shared desire to offer all its neighbors a close and quality leisure offer," he says. In addition, Machín assures that "it is a unique opportunity to continue deepening our commitment to bring culture, in a family environment, to all corners of Lanzarote."

Likewise, the Production Director of Tenique Cultural, Laura Cedrés, explains that "the titles have been selected in the field of family entertainment cinema but with an eye on the ability of the seventh art to transmit values and promote reflection on relevant issues in our days."

PROGRAMMING

The program will open in the Plaza del Fondeadero of Puerto del Carmen (Tías) with the films "Matrix" and "Adam", on July 12 and 13 respectively; Arrecife will follow, with the screening of "The Mission" and "The Secret in Their Eyes", on July 19 and 20 in the Plaza de La Harinera; the Summer Cinema will close its journey corresponding to the month in the Plaza de Santa Elena, in Playa Honda (San Bartolomé), with the broadcast of "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Ghostbusters", on July 26 and 27.

Already in August, on days 1 and 3, it will be Tinajo's turn, in whose Plaza del Carmen (La Santa) you can watch the films "Little Miss Sunshine" and "The Sting". Famara will be, next, the town of Teguise that will become an outdoor cinema, with the programming of "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "The Lives of Others", on August 9 and 10. Likewise, the Plaza de La Garita de Haría will become a summer screening room to offer its neighborhood "Rainman" and "The Postman and Pablo Neruda", in the afternoons of the 15th and 16th of that month. And the trip of this second edition of the Summer Traveling Cinema will close with the screenings of "Big" and "Family", on the 23rd and August in the Plaza del Carmen de Playa Blanca (Yaiza).
