The Tías City Council has published the rules for the Puerto del Carmen Carnival poster contest 2024. This year the theme will be A Cartoon Carnival and the designs can be submitted until December 15 and will be awarded with 700 euros.
The rules, which can be consulted in the announcements section of the Tías City Council website, indicate that the reception of the works will be carried out until Friday, December 15 (deadline) from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Festivals department.
Each participant may submit a single original work that has not been awarded in any other previous contest or prize and that has not been publicly exhibited. Each work will be of free style and technique, "as long as there is no difficulty for its printing and reproduction by any means."
According to these rules, the format will be vertical rectangular and no larger than 68 cm. X 48 cm., nor less than 49 cm. X 34 cm. The proposal must contain the following lettering and in the following order: "PUERTO DEL CARMEN, CARNIVAL 2024" February 16, 17 and 18.
"The work will be unsigned. Its identification will be made by means of a motto that will appear on the back and on the outside of a closed envelope, inside of which will be the name, surnames, age, address, telephone number, photocopy of the D.N.I. or document accrediting the author of the same, title of the work and technique used".
The selected work will become the property of the Tías City Council, who will exclusively enjoy all the rights to exploit the work, as well as its dissemination in any form and place.
