The Lanzarote capital of Arrecife experienced a drone show last Friday. Organized by the Cabildo of Lanzarote, through SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, the event brought together thousands of people on El Reducto beach and in the Arrecife Theme Park, who enjoyed a show starring 235 drones.
These aircraft illuminated the sky with a dazzling recreation of figures that combined Christmas motifs with symbols of the cultural identity of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Among the representations, the countdown to welcome the new year stood out, which preceded the figure of a Christmas tree with the name of Lanzarote, the emblematic scenes of jolateros and barquillos from Charco de San Ginés, the iconic Graciosera hat, the Farmer's Monument, the Plaza de los Leones de Teguise, the Playa Grande of Puerto del Carmen and the Ermita de los Dolores, in Tinajo.
The show continued with an emotional representation of the Three Wise Men, culminating with a luminous message of "Happy 2025" and the projection of the logos of the Cabildo and Turismo Lanzarote. All this accompanied by visual effects that simulated fireworks, but without generating noise or pollution
The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, as the highest authority of Turismo Lanzarote, highlighted that "this show not only celebrates the end of a year, but also reflects our commitment to innovation and respect for the environment".
"Lanzarote shines as an example of how traditions and progress can coexist in perfect harmony, maintaining the commitment to inclusivity and sustainability," he concluded.
