The writer and resident of the municipality of Tías, Emilio Fernández Batista, presented his seventh book "Nostalgia" last Saturday night at the Municipal Theater of Tías. A book where the author, with the help of an eloquent and reflective Don Servando, takes the reader on a journey through the history of our people. Fernández narrates the experiences lived in first person or also by some of his neighbors and friends throughout his life.
He also uses a very successful oratory, in relation to the times that have passed, entering a world that inevitably takes us to a recent past where nobility and respect among the inhabitants were highly valued in the neighboring community. All this without leaving behind the witty and joking aspect that characterizes the good man.
As usual in each of the presentations, Emilio Fernández continues to surprise all his followers by turning each of them into a multicultural spectacle where literature, music and poetry go hand in hand. For this occasion he had the collaboration of the "Ahí va la Cosa" parranda, a group from the Tenerife municipality of Tacoronte, the violinist Carmen García, the timple player Kevin Díaz, the saxophonist Enrique Bermúdez and a group of young reciters.
Emilio was very supported by family, friends, neighbors, including the mayor of the municipality, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Culture. The event ended with the signing of books.
