Last Thursday, November 21st, CEIP Costa Teguise celebrated an emotional event at the Santo Domingo Convent, in the Villa de Teguise: the Estefanía Curbelo Awareness, Art and Music Festival. This unique event was organized in honor of the teacher Estefanía Curbelo, whose passion for teaching and music left an indelible mark on the community.

"Estefanía, our 'Lighthouse', illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her, guiding them towards a future full of hope. In this festival, her essence and legacy were more present than ever, through songs, anecdotes and the energy shared by those who participated," express from the organization.

The event featured various artistic interventions that filled the Santo Domingo Convent with magic. It is worth mentioning the CEIP Costa Teguise choir that performed some of Estefanía's favorite songs (also from her own creation, as she was a singer-songwriter), moving the audience present.

In addition, local artists offered their art, fusing different genres that reflect the cultural richness of our community. From the performance interpreted by Isabel Cabrera, to the musical interventions offered by Gopar, Cheli Bona, Israel Curbelo, Miki Villanueva, Alejandro Rodríguez and Lily Gopar.

The participating students, collaborating artists and teachers surprised with a staging worthy of recognition. The festival was possible thanks to the selfless collaboration of all of them, plus local companies such as Quesería El Faro, the Regulatory Council and the wineries La Geria, Los Bermejos, Martinón and Vega de Yuco and Medidel Informática. And of course, thanks to Estefanía's family, Nahum Cabrera, Sonilanza, the Honorable City Council of Teguise and the entire educational community.

"We want to express our sincere gratitude to all those who, with love and dedication, contributed to making this tribute a reality. The Conciencia Festival was not only a tribute to Estefanía's life, but also a reminder of the values she embodied: love for teaching, passion for art and music and the ability to unite people. Each note played and each smile shared on this special day kept her spirit alive, which continues to illuminate us. From CEIP Costa Teguise, we affirm that this festival was made from the heart, to remember who taught us to dream and to never stop believing in the magic of art, music and education," they conclude.
