Arrecife pays tribute to Canarian women poets with the recital 'Trade Wind Verses of Women'

A tribute to poetry written by Canarian authors, both classic and contemporary, which will take place on Friday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture.

The Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council will pay tribute to Canarian women poets with the celebration of the recital 'Trade Wind Verses of Women'. It is a tribute to poetry written by Canarian authors, both classic and contemporary, which will take place on Friday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture.

The 'Letters for the Soul' group of reading aloud will be in charge of giving life to these verses, offering the public a deep and heartfelt interpretation of the works of women who have left an indelible mark on Canarian literature.

“This recital is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the cultural richness of our islands through the feminine word, celebrating the identity and sensitivity of women who have contributed to the literary heritage of the Canary Islands”, said the capital's head of Culture, who invites citizens to come this Friday to one of the most emblematic cultural spaces of the island's capital.

Admission to this event, which will highlight the power and beauty of the feminine voices of our land, is free.
