The presentation formed in the Senate to decide whether to lift the immunity of Senator Pedro San Ginés has agreed to "proceed with all legal consequences" against the former president of Lanzarote so that he can be tried by the Supreme Court for the crimes of perjury and false accusation.
The Official Gazette of the Senate of the Cortes Generales has collected the resolution of the presentation that was approved by "unanimity". According to the calendar of the Upper House, on September 30, the resolution of this opinion will be taken to the Committee on Supplements and this committee will have until October 4 to make a decision.
In total, the Senate has 60 calendar days to pronounce on a request from the Supreme Court against one of its members.
