The Prosecutor's Office requests a four-year prison sentence for the accused of sexually assaulting his niece

The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas will try next Tuesday, July 23 in Arrecife the accused of sexually assaulting his niece in a house in the capital of Lanzarote.

The events date back to the early morning of March 12, 2023, when the accused L.J.S.M. lived with his brother and niece in the family home.

According to the indictment of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which La Voz has had access to, the man allegedly took advantage of the family and cohabitation relationship with his niece to get into her bed while she was sleeping, put his hand under her shirt and touch her breast, at a time when her brother was not in the house.

The Public Prosecutor's Office classifies these acts as a crime of sexual assault and asks for a four-year prison sentence for the accused and special disqualification for the right to passive suffrage during the term of the sentence.
