The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa organizes a face-to-face monitor course for educational centers. It is aimed at unemployed young people, from 16 to 29 years old, registered in Youth Guarantee. If they are not, the procedure can be done at no cost at the Chamber of Commerce.
The registration period to participate is open until October 21. This action is part of the Qualification and Employment Program (PICE), aimed at young people, and has the support of the Employment Area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the European Social Fund.
The course includes internships in institutions and companies, with training in four modules specialized in areas such as the morning classroom, the school cafeteria or extracurricular activities. It is an eminently practical training that provides a real vision of the professional future to which young people can dedicate themselves, as well as a cover letter for future hiring.
The objective of this course is to train students to perform functions such as knowledge of child and youth development, the design, execution and evaluation of educational activities, the acquisition and application of technical resources, teamwork, and in general, everything necessary to carry out the educational intervention typical of the school cafeteria monitor.
In addition, they will be trained in the organization, planning, control and management of everything related to a morning classroom, to apply it to their professional work as a monitor in these spaces or in extracurricular activities. This course is also valid for working in workshops or summer camps as a monitor.
The PICE Program promotes employment through vocational guidance and training focused on specific professions but that includes common skills such as languages, digital skills or social skills.
It is a free training of the Comprehensive Qualification and Employment Program (PICE) of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain that is part of the National Youth Guarantee System of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security and is co-financed by the European Social Fund in 91.89% and by the Cabildo de Lanzarote in 8.11%.
