The largest hotel in Lanzarote, with 720 rooms and 1,400 beds will open its doors on December 1st.
The Barceló Playa Blanca Resort hotel, with four stars and located in Playa Blanca, belongs to the developer Yudaya, from the Canarian business group Hermanos Domínguez (HD), which has transferred its management to Barceló for a decade after an investment of around 150 million euros, according to the newspaper La Provincia.
From the facilities you can see the Islet of Lobos and the north of Fuerteventura. The company explains that the architecture and decoration of the Barceló Playa Blanca hotel are inspired by the shapes, colors and textures of the natural environment of Lanzarote.
The hotel expands over an area of 100,000 square meters in the beachfront, 100 meters from Playa Dorada, explains the hotel chain.
Of the 720 rooms at the Barceló Playa Blanca Resort, 132 are exclusive to the Royal Level Adults Only. "Fully equipped, they are open-plan rooms, designed to provide a perfect relaxing and exclusive vacation for their guests," according to the establishment's description.
Barceló began marketing stays at this new hotel several months ago and sources from the hotel group's reservation center indicate that, at least for the first days of December, there are hardly any free rooms left.
The Barceló Playa Blanca Resort has two buffet restaurants, two themed restaurants, a Sports Bar, a Lobby Bar and two Pools Bars.
This complex also has a main infinity pool with a length of 180 meters and another heated infinity pool.
