The price of housing has generally fallen in the month of July in Lanzarote, especially in the municipality of Tinajo, where a decrease of 10.1% has been registered, according to a price report from the Idealista portal.
Tinajo has been crowned as the cheapest area on the island, with the square meter at only 1,316 euros. The municipality has experienced a very pronounced drop compared to the previous month, when the price was 1,463 euros per square meter.
In addition, if compared to July 2021, the decrease is much more pronounced, 17.6%, since at that time the average cost was 1,597 euros per square meter.
Haría occupies the second place as the most economical municipality, with a price of 1,715 euros in July, 0.6% less than the previous month, but 8.6% more year-on-year, since in June 2021 the square meter cost 1,579 euros.
San Bartolomé and Teguise follow, at 2,042 and 2,089, respectively. In the first, the price has fallen by 1.5% in a month, while in Teguise it has been 1.9%. In addition, it is worth noting the increase in the price per square meter in San Bartolomé in one year, of 8%, or what is the same, 152 euros more.
Finally, buying a home is also cheaper in July than the previous month in the Tías area, with a price decrease of 0.9% and the square meter at 2,571 euros. However, it is more expensive than a year ago, since it rises 6.9% in just 12 months.
Housing rises 21.8% in Yaiza in one year
On the other side of the spectrum are the two municipalities that break that decreasing harmony, Arrecife and Yaiza, where prices have been growing for months and even the latter, reaching its historical maximum.
Specifically, Yaiza has the square meter at 2,698 euros, 2.4% more expensive than in June, when it cost 2,698 and 21.8% more than in July 2021, when the price was 2,216 euros.
Meanwhile, in the capital the figures are much lower, with an average cost of 1,392, 1.7% more expensive than the previous month (1,368) and 4.5% more year-on-year (1,332).
By neighborhoods, the difference is up to almost 400 euros in Arrecife, with the center being the most expensive area, with the square meter at 1,642 euros, compared to Argana or Maneje at 1,261 euros. In the neighborhoods of Valterra, La Vega and Las Salinas it has a cost of 1,492 euros and in Altavista, Titerroy and San Francisco Javier of 1,283.
