The average price per square meter of a home for sale in the municipality of Yaiza reached 3,108 euros in March, which represents a growth of more than 20% compared to just one year ago.
For the first time since there are records, the southern municipality that includes the towns of Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero, where the most expensive properties are located, exceeds the barrier of 3,000 euros per square meter. It is also the first time that this figure has been exceeded on the entire island.
The growth of prices in Yaiza is such that the square meter in the southern municipality of the island already represents more than double what it costs in Arrecife, where it rose slightly to 1,443 euros.
Prices are falling in the rest of the municipalities. The largest decreases occur in San Bartolomé, where the average price per square meter falls from 2,134 euros in February to 1,973 in March, and in Haría, where it falls to 1,881 euros after having exceeded the barrier of 2,000 euros the previous month.
Next, Tías where the square meter currently costs an average of 2,813 euros, which is equivalent to 60 euros less than the previous month.
In Teguise and Tinajo, the trend is also downward, although the prices in March, 2,260 and 1,780 euros respectively, were practically the same as in February.
