The Canary Island population surveyed by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) has stated that their satisfaction with the possibility of finding affordable housing in the archipelago is 3.01, on a scale of 1 to 10. This response places the Canary Islands as one of the communities with the lowest figure on this issue, along with others such as the Balearic Islands or Madrid.
The same pattern is repeated with regard to the ease of finding a job, where the average for Canary Islanders is 4.32; and, in the case of starting a business, 4.11.
However, with regard to the general situation of the autonomous community, 51.4% believe it is good or very good, 19.2% fair and 29.2% bad or very bad.
Tourist promotion registers the greatest satisfaction
With regard to satisfaction with health and health services, Canary Islanders are at 5.21 out of 10, while in terms of education and educational centers it is 5.85 out of 10. On the other hand, the leisure offer shows a better figure: 6.44 out of, and social services 5.23 out of 10.
With regard to citizen security, Canary Islanders consider themselves satisfied at 6.37, while in the tourist promotion of the autonomous community satisfaction rises to 7.33.
Approved government management
On the management carried out by the president of the Canary Islands Government, Ángel Víctor Torres, 10.4% believe it is very good, 47.8% that it is good, 8.2% that it is fair, while 20.7% rate it as bad and 6.8% as very bad.
In comparison with the general data, Torres is only surpassed in the area of "very good" by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso (18%), and in the area of "good" by that of Aragon (56.2%), Javier Lambán.
In general, on a scale of 1 to 10, Canary Islanders are satisfied with the management carried out by the Government of their autonomous community at 5.41, a figure only surpassed by Navarra (5.45) and Aragon (5.43).
