The unemployment data for October in Lanzarote represents a decrease of 2.8% in the number of unemployed compared to the previous month. There are 269 fewer unemployed than in the month of September, so the total number of people registered looking for employment is 9,338.
Thus, Lanzarote accumulates three consecutive months of decreases in unemployment figures. In addition, the decrease experienced in October is considerably greater than the decreases recorded in August (-0.9%) and September (-0.04%).
So far this year, unemployment has decreased every month except for the months of January and July. If in January there were 11,663 unemployed, the decrease so far this year is 2,325 people.
