Roly L, a Cuban artist based in Lanzarote, releases his new record "Coincidencia". The singer, composer and guitarist, presents his creation of Latin and urban pop.
Born in Bayamo (Cuba), at the age of 10 he developed a great passion for music, transmitted mainly through his father. Born into a family of musicians imbued with the culture of Buena Vista Social Club, he made contact with his first guitar at the age of 12, an instrument that never leaves him. At the age of 20, he was called by the company Ignacio Piñeyo, to accompany well-known artists throughout Cuba, downtown Havana, cathedral, capitol, café Paris, ... These experiences allowed him to improvise as a guitarist with any tone and song. In 1998, he left Cuba with his musical group to play throughout Europe (Germany, Canary Islands, Spain).
I play and sing out of passion, I feel the music inside and this feeling, I want to transmit it to the public. When I write, I forget everything... there is only the rhythm, the sound, the melody...
Since 2010, he has been performing in the hotels of the Island as a singer, performer, guitarist to harmonize in the piano bars or evening concert shows. He dares with all styles: pop, flamenco fusion, bossa nova, salsa, bachata, urban, jazz, chill out, instrumental, improvised DJ accompaniment ...
Since 2020, with the confinement forced by covid, he has settled in a music studio and creates and records various musical pieces such as Tenerte, Morename, Libre, Anillo al Dedo, Gigante….
