The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a weekend with rain, strong waves, and wind in Lanzarote and La Graciosa due to the impact of storm Francis on the archipelago.

The island is under yellow alert for wind this Friday, with gusts that could reach or exceed 70 kilometers per hour, especially in inland areas. For its part, the Canary Islands Government has declared a pre-alert for rain on all islands and a pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote.

Likewise, for this **Saturday** the island will be under a **yellow alert for swell from 03:00 hours due to strong swell, which will turn orange from 13:00 hours** with waves that could reach **five meters** in height, with west winds of 50 to 61 kilometers per hour. At the end of the day, from 21:00 hours, this alert will return to yellow.On **Saturday**, there will also be a **yellow alert for wind from 08:00** until 20:00, with gusts that can reach 70 kilometers per hour

As for the rest of the forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall are expected on Saturday, tending to cloudy intervals from midday onwards, with less probable and more occasional rain. Temperatures will be slightly decreasing, with lows of 14 degrees and highs of 22. The wind will blow moderately with intervals of strong westerly winds and with a probability of very strong gusts, mainly in inland and northeastern areas.

On Sunday, the forecast will be similar with a predominance of cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, more frequent in the interior of the island. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, between 13 and 20 degrees. The wind will blow moderately from the northwest, with intervals of strong winds on the northeast and southwest slopes at the beginning.
